The 2025 Child Cancer Annual Auction

 

We're looking for items and services to auction! Our auction starts 9am Friday 4th July and finishes Friday 11th July, 8pm sharp, on our new auction platform, GalaBid. Here are the details.


What It's All About

This year from 4th – 11th July 2024, we will be holding our Annual Child Cancer Foundation Fundraising Auction on professional auction platform, GalaBid. In 2024 we managed to raise nearly $60,000 worth of donated goods auctioned off for child cancer! We’d love to raise over $30,000 again this year.

We are currently looking for items or services to auction off, and we're hoping you might be able to donate a product to the cause.

Child Cancer Foundation (CCF) is a charity that provides support to children and families on their cancer journey. Finding out your child has cancer turns your life upside down and it happens to more than three Kiwi families every week. The foundation focuses on the whānau, not the cancer, and to be able to provide families with the support they need, they are constantly trying to raise money. 

Your donation will be auctioned off, and all proceeds will go directly to Child Cancer Foundation.

The Auction

The auction starts 9am July 4th and ends July 11th at 8pm sharp.

The auction will run on GalaBid professional auction website. A little bit about GalaBid and why we've chosen to run our auction online this year: Our auction has grown each year, and has finally outgrown the Facebook platform we were using. The volume of people bidding, the painstaking admin on our end and huge amount of items donated (over 200 auction items were in last year's auction!) has signalled to us that it's time to bring our annual auction to a more professional platform to keep bidding fun and easy! A link will be provided to the auction, and bidders have the option of getting text alerts to let them know if they've been outbid, which we think will be a fantastic addition to the 2025 auction bidding fun!

Advertising

We will be advertising the auction on our social media which has over 20,000 organic followers across both Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. It will also be shared by the Child Cancer Foundation social media platforms, which has over 31,000 organic followers across their FB & IG accounts, so the auction will be viewed by thousands.

We also advertise our auction via a mailer and through paid social media advertising which we fund ourselves.

We find it is a great opportunity for business exposure as well as helping out a great cause. ALL proceeds of the auction goes to the Child Cancer Foundation. At the auction conclusion you will be contacted with your winners' details. For those that require shipping, we humbly ask that you ship the items to the winners at your expense at the end of the auction. (If you would rather post it to us before the auction, please let us know and we will give you an address to send to.)
